Blackberry Mobile Email Integration

Overview/Description

Columbia College has a Blackberry Enterprise server available to staff and faculty members desiring to receive Outlook emails via a Blackberry mobile device. 

Upon request and after completion of the Mobile Access to Data/Email Systems form, our Network team will create and configure a Blackberry email account that allows the mobile device the ability to receive campus emails. Additional steps while mobile device is connected to the client's Outlook email account also are required. This service is free to all staff and faculty with Blackberry mobile devices.

This service is available within two to three business days.

Supporting Documentation

Blackberry users must perform the desktop activation from the computer where he/she has Outlook installed and configured. Attach the Blackberry to the PC with the USB cable that came with the device, or a compatible cable, then navigate to https://CCEX7-BESX.CCIS.EDU:3443/webdesktop/login and login using CougarTrack credentials. The software will find the device attached to the computer and start activating it.

Wait for synchronization to finish, then disconnect the device from the PC. Users may have to enter the name of the BES server, which is ccex7-besx.ccis.edu to complete the process.
