Introduction

Columbia College engaged in an intensive planning effort aimed at resuming and supporting on-campus activities as quickly and prudently as possible in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This Return to Campus Guide contains recommended health and safety protocols that were implemented during the fall semester at the Columbia College main campus and at Columbia College Global (CCG) locations. The protocols apply to all members of our college community (including faculty, staff, students, contractors, vendors, visitors and guests) while on campus or in college facilities, or at one of our civilian or military locations nationwide.

We anticipate that these guidelines may evolve as the pandemic evolves. These guidelines are aligned with state and local regulations and our assessment of the requirements. Where more restrictive local requirements exist, CCG locations should follow the requirements of their local health authorities and military installations. The college community is encouraged to stay up to date on current CDC recommendations by following the hyperlinks included throughout this guide.

These guidelines were created by the Return to Campus (RTC) task force, including members from Human Resources, International Programs, Student Affairs, Student Health, Campus Safety, Athletics, Columbia College Global and Plant and Facilities Operations. The taskforce worked closely with the Academic Implementation Committee, Management Council and senior administration during the planning process.
