Dr. Brian Kessel

Brian KesselDr. Brian Kessel received bachelor of arts degrees in German and political science from the University of Northern Iowa and his master's and doctorate degrees in political science from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Kessel teaches courses in comparative politics and international relations. He taught in visiting positions at Kalamazoo College and Western Illinois University before coming to Columbia College in 2000. He also serves as chair of the Department of History and Political Science and coordinates the college’s education abroad program. Dr. Kessel is the faculty advisor for the Model United Nations team and the political science honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha.
