Dr. Diane Suhler

Diane SuhlerEducation: PhD in Finance with minors in Economics and Quantitative methods from the University of Maryland M.I.A. (Masters of International Affairs) from Columbia University in New York City B.S. in Secondary Education - Social Studies from the University of Colorado

Work: Taught at Columbia College full time since 2000
Adjunct at William Woods University from 1995-2000
Research Associate at the University of Missouri (1992-1994) - I was part of the Agriculture Economics Department and the focus of my research was on the financial structure and performance of agricultural cooperatives.

I worked in industry prior to my academic career:

  1. Financial Manager for a Wholesale Business in Colorado
  2. Analyst/Consultant for a Consulting firm that specialized in Affirmative Action/Equal Employment

Research/Volunteer: My research interests are in the areas of economic development and microfinance. I have been involved in two volunteer consulting projects for USAID, one in Azerbaijan and the other in Uganda.
