About Registration

Registration allows you to select your courses for the upcoming term.

Students must set up a payment plan or be prepared to pay in full in order to register. If a student is fully funded at the time of registration, enrolling a fully funded payment plan will be available.

Meet with an advisor

New students at Day Campus should contact their admissions counselor at Admissions@CCIS.edu.

Returning students at Day Campus are required to meet with an academic advisor every semester prior to registering for classes. To make an appointment, click the “Schedule an Appointment” link in the left-panel Shortcuts section of myPortal. 

Students studying in the evening in Columbia, MO, at a location outside of Columbia, MO or online are also encouraged to contact their venue to meet with an advisor before registering.

How to register

Register through myPortal

All students may register for classes through myPortal. Once signed in, select the “Register, Add or Drop Classes” option listed under the left-panel Shortcuts section in myPortal, then select “Register and Manage Classes.” The planner also allows students to plan courses needed to complete a degree and request for their advisor to review the plan.

Register in person

Students may get assistance registering for classes in person at the Center for Student Success, on campus in Columbia, MO.

Register by proxy

If students are not able to register through myPortal or in person, they may send a proxy to register in person on their behalf at the Center for Student Success during open hours. Students who need to send someone else to register in person must complete the Registration Proxy Form .
